Empathize like putting yourself in someone else&#8217;s shoes, like putting yourself in someone else&#8217;s shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For us, empathizing is trying to feel what the other feels from their beliefs, their experiences and what is important to them, from their tools and fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Empathizing is not advising, nor trying to relieve, it is accompanying the emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why is it so difficult for us to empathize?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Because the society we live in gives more importance to doing, or having. Empathizing emphasizes feeling, and that has to do with seeing, and we are not prepared for it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Because it is difficult for us to put ourselves in the other&#8217;s gaze. We try to interpret from our schemas, codes and experiences, what the other person may be feeling, living or thinking. We lack cleanliness in our eyes, without judging him. AS soon as others feel or do something that I would not do, I tend to judge, instead of accepting and respecting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Because it is difficult for us to distinguish between \u201cunderstand\u201d and \u201cjustify\u201d. It seems that, if I understand your reasons, I am justifying you, so it is easier to stay in my position.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
